Hi! My name is Alana and I write over at The Good Girl Gone Blog. I’m so excited to be over here at Derek’s blog today! To be quite honest, I don’t actually read any boy-blogger blogs, so I was a little nervous when I received Derek as my 20SB swap partner. Fortunately, he’s a sweetheart, and I’m now feeling confident about guest posting on a non-pink blog.
As you might know, Derek is currently on his way to my side of the country, while I’m leaving for Chicago tomorrow. I sort of feel like we should do a symbolic high five somewhere in between. Why the heck am I going to Chicago, you ask? Well, I’m just a lucky intern, traveling with my company, springpad, to Blogher09.
Unlike most other bloggers who have simply been worrying about buying business cards, picking out cute outfits and figuring out their party schedules, I’ve been stressing about much bigger things, such as:
1) Sweating through the two springpad tshirts I’m required to wear for the entire weekend
2) Accidentally saying something stupid at the springpad booth and angering a big mommy blogger
3) Not getting enough sleep and being grouchy when I’m supposed to be perky and happy and promoting springpad.
So yeah- I’m Chicago bound and excited, but I already looking forward to being back in Boston. Oy vey.
