[twenty-nine] feed the daydream
Well, for the second time this year we’ve missed a calendar month on the [twenty-nine] music project, and excuses aside, we’re back!
This month’s mix comes amid an insanely hectic summer and I think the quicker pace overall has affected the song selection. I listened to much of this on my way home from New York last weekend in the car and realized it is a little short on ‘slow songs‘. I suppose if you and your significant other are looking for some tunes for a romantic getaway I’m not sure this is the best option.
That being said, the summer is always quite a busy time for the music industry as artists hit the road and visit their fans. The new albums are showing up in droves, and if you are feeling a little light in the new music department I’d encourage you to spend a few minutes exploring the scene…I think you’ll be able to find something you really dig.
We made a few changes last month to the [twenty-nine] distribution and such. Some newer features include sampling the entire [twenty-nine] mixtape right here with a built in music player, as well as an attempt to share Album information for each track.
I’ve been told that a lot of people aren’t totally comfortable with the process of getting this music onto their iPods or iTunes or however you take your music, so I’ll try and get a good instructional piece up on the blog soon. Pick up my blog feed if you haven’t yet to catch that post, along with my other posts.
On to the music.
Long live the mixtape.

Legal stuff (sort of):
If you are an artist (or represent an artist) being featured on [twenty-nine] and you want me to take down a song, let me know, and it will be removed from everything immediately. I only include tunes on these mixtapes that I think are amazing.
The goal here is to introduce my friends to your music, so don’t sue me, mkay?
