[twenty-nine] four leaves
welcome back to [twenty-nine], a music project i started at the end of last year, named after, well, my age.

you may or may not care, but i’ve moved my blogging to a new spot and i’d love for you all to stop by and check it out. the new site’s located at http://dshan.me/blog (you can hit “Home” on the toolbar above if ya like). if the word blog makes you feel sick, that’s fine too, but in light of the recent changes you’ll also notice that i’ve moved the [twenty-nine] project into that mix as well. if you know me, you know i’m a huge fan of simplicity.
now you can get all the old mixes on one page: music.
anyway, it’ll all be okay, i promise. the [twenty-nine] emails will still go out, the downloads will still be at mixable and here. same as before.
as always i want to thank everyone who sends emails, tweets, texts, and links with their feedback or music suggestions in response to the mixtapes. really…you have no idea how great you all are. those of you who have yelled over the loud music in a bar “where’s the next mixtape!!?” make me want to go home and work on it, which based on the fact that lately i’ve ended up dancing in public quite frequently probably wouldn’t be a bad idea.
speaking of feedback, i thought i’d share some:
“I, Noah, support your project…[and] i shall participate in this project by sending you a list each month with a mix tape that i would put online if i was at all computer savvy. first a review of your last mix. i liked it. not all of it…but definitely some of it. and that is what i like about swapping music.” – noah, in oak park
“artwork and all. nice
” – rebecca, in seattle (i think)
“Keep being weird.” – maxwell, in los angeles
“let’s get married 29 times.” – alice, in washington dc
“there are a lot of awesome songs on there my dear!” – rachel, in new jersey
“TOTALLY stoked to be a part of this.
I’ll forward to folks I think would enjoy this as well!” – deutlich, in washington dc
“is this another one of your pyramid schemes?” – kate, in chicago
“Seriously, very cool project you are playing around with. Between this and your blog, I don’t know where you find the time.” – lauren, in south carolina
again, thanks for all the fun feedback and since you’re here you can always leave comments and reviews at the bottom of this page.
and please make sure you forward this to at least one of your friends, because they might like it more than you. especially if you hate it.
on to the mix!
long live the mixtape.

legal stuff (sort of):
if you are an artist (or represent an artist) being featured on [twenty-nine] and you want me to take down a song, let me know, and it will be removed from everything immediately. i only include tunes on these mixtapes that i think are amazing, and in all cases i direct folks to websites where they can buy the music and check out your other tunes.
the underlying goal here is to introduce my friends to your music, so don’t sue me, mkay?
cheers,
dshan
