[twenty-nine] idea freak
Where to start, right?
This little journey through a year of music was one of the best ideas I’ve had in a long while. I have been floored, month after month, at the effect a simple conversation about music had on all kinds of relationships in every corner of my life.
Thank you so much for being a part of that.
The music project called [twenty-nine] is now over.
What began as an attempt to have something to point at when asked, “so what have you been listening to?“, turned into a shared stroll through a year of new and old music with friends, co-workers, family, and strangers. To say the project was anything but a resounding success would understate the significance of these monthly mixtapes.
You’ve shared your music with me, as I pushed mine to you.
You’ve shared music with your friends and family, and in many cases brought me a new friend or acquaintance in the process.
On a more personal note, I’ve been truly honored to have shared my own musical exploration (music hunting, as I like to call it) with a huge group of people who’ve responded with encouragement, critiques, and ideas.
Many of us have a very intimate, unique relationship with music, and I’m no exception.
That relationship, for me and as a result of you, is much, much deeper and meaningful today than it was twelve months ago.
Thank you.
Below is the last [twenty-nine] mixtape. Stay tuned for whatever’s next.

If you are an artist (or represent an artist) being featured on [twenty-nine] and you want me to take down a song, let me know, and it will be removed from everything immediately. I only include tunes on these mixtapes that I think are amazing.
The goal here is to introduce my friends to your music, so don’t sue me, mkay?
