[twenty-nine] wedding rings
happy new year!
welcome to the second edition of my monthly mixtape, [twenty-nine]. thank you for all the great feedback last time and keep it coming.
in addition to using this as a fun way to share the music that’s been catching my ear as of late, i’m hoping that each mixtape will include something you haven’t heard before.
this month’s mix was tough to make decisions on, but i think it includes a good mix of genre and mood. with all those year-end “best of” lists literally pouring out of the internet i may have found myself caught up in presenting something a little more forward-looking, so the mix includes a very healthy dose of new(ish) artists to keep your eye on in 2009. a few of the names here are releasing new albums soon, too.
as always, i hope you enjoy. please spread the word if you do.
a few personal notes: congratulations to two of my best friends who were engaged over the holidays; among other rewards you’ve inspired a mixtape title.
love live the mixtape.

legal stuff (sort of):
if you are an artist (or represent an artist) being featured on [twenty-nine] and you want me to take down a song, let me know, and it will be removed from everything immediately. i only include tunes on these mixtapes that i think are amazing, and in all cases i direct folks to websites where they can buy the music and check out your other tunes.
the underlying goal here is to introduce my friends to your music, so don’t sue me, mkay?
cheers,
dshan
