is it really possible for chicago to make public transportation any more difficult?

this morning i decided to give the blue line a chance, as my patience wore so thin earlier this summer that i’ve been finding alternative methods of getting downtown for work.

that’s obviously proved quite expensive, so i was hoping to reunite with the train and while i was prepared for a less than ideal experience, i wasn’t prepared for what i saw.

the division stop was at least four people deep on both sides, with no train within earshot.

i thought, “okay…late train, but hopefully it won’t be full”

when the train pulled up it wasn’t just full, people were squeezed so tight it looked hard to breathe.

it was like giving a girl another chance only to find her in bed with your best friend.

i felt used and misled.

and spent another ten dollars on a cab.
