Alright guys, so today’s post is part of our Blog Swap, and is coming to you from India. Not only that, but it’s so great…one of the things I’ve loved most about watching our community at 20 Something Bloggers grow up is the experience that new members have when they jump in the pool. I could spend hours just talking about the incredible things that happen to people because they join 20SB, but I think this post, from Amogh Upadhyay, who writes a blog called Cloned Warrier, is a great snapshot of the early experience with a huge, vibrant community.
This post is about the things that Amogh likes about being a blogger.
Wow, how should I start this? Ok, let me start with how I actually came to know about blogging. Here in India most of the celebrities have a blog and they actually communicate with the fans in that way. Well, most of them even have opinions on the things going on and they generally criticize or complement anything and everything they liked. Though I was aware of this, I never saw myself having a blog coz I never saw myself as a celebrity. But recently one of my friends asked me to give it a try and so I obliged.
It’s been five months now and I’m really loving it. It’s because of blogging that I came to know about so many things which existed. Though you see most of them on television or read about them in books but you get those things edited whereas in blogging it’s more real and whatever you get is the first hand.
I even got the opportunity to join this awesome community and meet people from all over the world, discover new things, experience, opinions and moreover make new friends. These five months have been so amazing and reading my favorite blogs before I sleep has become a daily routine. What can I do I’m so addicted to them.
As for me I started my blog with the purpose of giving opinions about the things which happen around me and I must say they are as bizarre and incredible as they can get. But as I discovered new blogs I saw that most of them used it as their life journal too. Though I don’t write about myself, I must admit that I really love reading about some of my friends which are far away. And I love commenting too so as to contribute.
Sometime I feel when I don’t get comments on my posts, they can be a real motivator but that doesn’t stop me from posting as I know that I’m new to this arena. I blog because I have opinions in almost all the things, though I’m not as talented as most of them when it comes to writing skills. But it’s all about learning which I love the most.
I hope to participate in all the events but my location is not helping me. Though, I’ll be in U.S this fall. I hope to meet many more like me.
So tell me what made you start and what do you love most about blogging?
Again, make sure you check out Amogh’s blog, because he’s new to the scene and I’m sure would just love the attention.
